OC Profile:

Melancholy is quite a chaotic being, yet very subtle and monotone with how he speaks, whenever he speaks at all that is. His own monotone lets off such a powerful force of emptiness that it scares off the more powerful ghosts in the Ghost Zone, and those who do actually confront him wish they never had. Even Walker tried to confront him, after having heard rumors of his existence, and was absolutely terrified with the being he had encountered. He couldn't believe it either, as he's contained criminals that were far scarier in looks, but something about Melancholy was so chaotically otherworldly that neither the human world nor ghost zone would be considered a homeland for him, even though he used to live in the human world when he was still alive. As a warning to those who dare seek out Melancholy, only do so lest you are prepared to face your greatest fears and sorrows...

Also note that I'm posting Melancholy's two pics in my E.S.W.N. folder. I will say nothing more than that regarding what I have planned for this kid.

Design Origin:

Like how Harena is an Expy of Ghadius in terms of her looks, Melancholy is an expy of The King of Sorrow, but in a much more subtle tone than how Harena was designed. KoS was much like Klonoa in appearance, whereas Melancholy looks almost like a human with a noose that acts as additional limbs rather than a collar. Like KoS, he is a deity of sadness, and has similar motivations as KoS in regards to their grief and desire to destroy the world. Melancholy also takes some design notes from Ultima of all things, as one of the conspiracies regarding Melancholy is who his father was, as while it is known who the mother is (Harena), nobody knows who the father is for Melancholy, and given the fact Ultima's human form looks like an older version of Melancholy's humanoid body, even having the same hairstyle, some believe that Ultima is the father, but most simply regard this situation as a coincidence.
