Powers: He can control rope-like limbs that he can also change shape to suit multiple needs (Since he doesn't use his hands or feet), and primarily uses two ropes, each fingered with knives, as feet instead of physically walking. 

Weaknesses: The sight of a certain girl who had history with him before his death.

Berserk Button: Coming into contact with anybody fitting of the Bastard Boyfriend trope. Also coming into contact with bullies, or being provoked in general be it intentional or not.

Approximately 7 years ago, he lived as an ordinary, 10 year old human who had a crush on a girl, and wanted to ask her to be his Valentine, but before he even got the chance, she died of severe illness and the news of it severely traumatized him, as he didn't find out about any of it until 7 months later. He was so severely broken by the news, he visited her grave in hopes of finding some kind of peace, but found nothing to help calm his aching pain. With everybody in school making fun of him, bullying him to the point of beatings, and having to deal with two divorced parents who both treated him unkindly, he eventually snapped and realized there was no meaning to anything to exist, nor did he have any meaning at all. With that, he hung himself near his crush's grave in hopes of joining her in the afterlife, but instead it ended up transforming him a ghostly being with rope-like powers, and his memories were lost, unaware he was still wandering the physical realm as one of the most unstable and dangerous ghosts to be encountered. His existence continued for centuries, and began to isolate himself from reality, to the point even the existence of everything is pointless, and decides he shall permanently end everything that is past, present, and future as revenge for the curse he is suffering.

Appearances:

-In a Danny Phantom RP me and my friend will be doing. He is sort of a villain, but nobody is sure whose side he's on because nobody is aware of the backstory he has listed above. His monotone is so calm yet still human sounding that it creeps the fuck out of everybody, and nobody dares approach him to provoke his wrath, since even the most heavily armed ghosts cannot escape his quick grasping attacks. He can summon up to 12 ropes at once to deal with opponents, and each rope is capable of tearing apart any that stand in his way. He's best a force left unknown and unprovoked, but ultimately he is provoked into action by the Box Ghost (Who else, honestly?), and the next thing people know is that the poor fool is staying silent for weeks and choosing to simply hide in his own boxes, as the mere sight of Melancholy's monotone expression creeped him out big time.
